Good Afternoon Parents/Guardians:
We had a great Super Bowl spirit day here today. I posed
as Bronco Man, I was inspired by a sixth grader this year who I have dubbed
Bronco Boy. We had a blast today. The students wore their spirit wear…mainly
Broncos, however there were a few Sea Hawks Jersey’s. More importantly the
money we raised went to help throw Super Bowl parties at four different
assisted living centers. The parties were held yesterday and today. The people
in the assisted living centers were extremely grateful and appreciative of us
for thinking of them. I need to thank my secretary Denise as it was her idea to
hold the parties and she orchestrated the logistics of throwing the parties.
I also need to thank Mrs. Gardner and Denise both for
providing the attire that I wore today. We also had about $130.00 left over
after funding the parties at the assisted living centers that will go into our
PBIS account. Mrs. Gardner is the chairperson for that committee and the money
will go right back into recognition of students. Regardless of the outcome of
the Super Bowl, we had a lot of fun and were able to bring some joy to people
in our community. A big thanks to all of the students and teachers who donated
money. Once we have the releases from the assisted living centers we will post
some pictures on our website.
It is that time of the year for high school registration.
I received information regarding registration for Arapahoe High School today. Iwill attach one page from their registration packet that is importantinformation for you. We will also have a link on the front page of our website
for additional information and resources. As we receive information from
Littleton or Heritage we will also make that information available.
Just a reminder that today is the last day for eighth
grade parents to submit their baby ads for the yearbook this fall. If you are
interested and have not checked off this task, the instructions are on the
front page of our website.
Have a great weekend.
Respectfully,
James O’Tremba
Principal, Newton Middle School
