Good Afternoon Parents/Guardians:
Our Newton Accountability Committee conducts a
parent/community survey every other year. This year we are conducting the
survey and our committee has worked very diligently to keep the survey clear
and concise with questions that will give us feedback in several areas that are
important to our school. I am including the link within this message and you
can also access the link on the front page of our website. I urge parents to
complete the survey, it should take about 10 to 15 minutes of your time. Thanks
in advance for your assistance.
I want to inform you that today we did conduct a drill
with our SRO Deputy Bratsch. We were able to have the drug sniffing dog from
the sheriff's department visit Newton today and do search of our lockers and
hallways. I am glad to report that the dog didn't find any drugs or illegal
substances. Having the dog visit entails her walking up and down the hallways
and sniffing the lockers. We did not have to access any lockers today. This is
just another measure to keep Newton as safe as we possibly can.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Respectfully,
James O'Tremba
Principal, Newton Middle School
