Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians:

Thank you to every family who has made a donation to our Discover Newton Pledge Drive. We've had a great response. Our October push is coming to an end, but there is still time! Today is the last day to make your donation and be entered to win our Family Fun Nights Package. As a reminder, money raised from the PTO pledge drive funds a variety of enrichment programs--like our Halloween Dance, as well as improvement projects for the school. Every dollar counts and your support is so appreciated! Go to our website and click on the pledge drive link to make your gift. We'll report our fund drive success and announce our grand prize winner next week.

Up to this point our students have done a great job with their district issued Chromebooks. I have a few reminders:
1. Students need to bring their chromebooks charged and ready to go each day of school.
2. If students continually forget to bring their chromebook (more than three times) they will receive a consequence of lunch detention.
3. We have been the most responsible middle school in the district as far as breakage goes, however, we want to keep our good reputation, please remind your child to take extra special care of the chromebook.
4. The Chromebook is a learning tool, it is not meant to be a gaming device for students.

Reminder to everyone that this weekend is time to "Fall Back" turn your clocks back one hour Saturday night.
