Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians:

Arena Conferences:
We will be hosting Arena Style Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, October 16th from 4:30 to 8:30 pm. Sixth grade will be located in the cafeteria, Seventh, Eighth Grade and Elective teachers will be located in the gym. Special Education Teachers and all other specialists will be in their classrooms or their offices. All parents are welcome to attend.

Scholastic Book Fair
Scholastic Book Fair is coming to the Newton Library October 21-25.  We are looking for parent volunteers to help with the book fair during book fair week.  Please click on the link to access our Book Fair page. Scroll down to volunteers to sign up. 

Scholastic Book Fair now has e-wallet available for your student purchases at the book fair.  This is a great way to safely provide money for your student to spend at the book fair. We have a great selection of books for fall reading! Please click on the link to access our Book Fair page. Scroll down to e-wallet to set up an account for your student!

All proceeds help buy new books for our library!   Thank you for supporting our Newton Library.

LPS and Kaiser Permanente present GHOSTED
GHOSTED - A performance and conversation about teen mental health, October 15th at 7:00 - 8:30 pm at Mission Hills ChurchTo be “ghosted” is to feel rejected, ignored, alone, and cut off from the outside. This special performance includes a professional stage play and interactive conversation to engage teens and parents about challenging situations involving mental health, stress, supporting friends, and coping skills that can strengthen resilience.  Come with your teen to learn together about managing tough topics.

GHOSTED is a professional stage play and conversation about the realities, relationships and resilience of today’s teens.
Themes will include:

  • How to be a good friend to someone who's struggling
  • How parents can help
  • School and community resources

Pre-registration NOT required. Just come! Designed for parents and students ages 12+.
