Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians:

Arapahoe HS Information
Students who are planning on attending Arapahoe High School next year and wanting to take Honors Classes or take the swim waiver test need to stop by the main office and pick up a packet from Arapahoe. It is very important that you and your parents are watching all upcoming dates for incoming Freshman regardless of the high school you are attending. Many of the deadlines are in February. If you have questions contact the high school you are attending or check their specific website.

6th Grade Basketball
6th Grade Basketball starts on Tuesday February 18th from 7:45am to 8:45am Tuesdays and Thursdays until Spring Break.  Students interested should bring a water bottle and wear athletic gear.  This is for all levels of experience and will be a fun experience for all students interested.

Attention 8th Grade Parents
All eighth grade parents please note the attached letter from me regarding some training we will be conducting with the eighth graders in March.

Optimist International Oratorical Contest
The Optimist Club of Littleton is once again participating in the annual Optimist International Oratorical Contest. The contest will be held on March 4th, 2020 at Bemis Library. This is a wonderful opportunity for middle school and high school students to prepare a speech and deliver it before a supporting audience and to compete for cash awards. The 1st place winner will receive $500.00 plus a gold medal, 2nd place will receive $250.00 and a silver medal and 3rd place will be awarded $125.00 and a bronze medal. The first place winner will have the opportunity to compete at the district level for a chance to win $2500.00 and an opportunity to compete at the national level for a $20,000 college scholarship.
The topic for the contest this year is “Just Imagine a World without Boundaries”. If you are interested in competing please contact djschulte17@gmail.com

Parking Lot Information
I know that our parking lots can become a bit congested and busy especially the few minutes before and after school. Please be respectful of each other and of our students as they are trying to leave. Cutting each other off, driving in the bus lane or ignoring others or instructions given by our supervisors in the morning in the north lot is not a good example for our students and can pose a dangerous situation. The congestion generally lasts for only a few minutes. Please be patient, kind and respectful of each other……..thank you!

Have a great weekend.
