May 26th, 2023

Good Evening Parents, Guardians and Students:

Congratulations on completing your school year. I want to especially welcome our incoming sixth graders. We can’t wait for you to begin your secondary career here at Newton this fall. I have some brief announcements and reminders.

The registration window is open and available for the fall, please click here to access that information on our school website.

Summer office hours will begin Tuesday, May 30th through Friday, June 9th. Our hours will be from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. We will then be closed for the summer beginning Monday, June 12th and will return on August 1st.

PTO Volunteer Opportunities:

It's not too late to get involved with PTO for the 2023-24 school year. We now have 2 open positions -- treasurer & secretary. If you are interested, please click here. For more information, visit our web pages here.

FALL SHADES OF BLUE & LPS ENGINEERING ORIENTATION/EXPLORATION:

Littleton Public Schools and the Littleton High School STEM Certificate Program want to let students in Grades 6-11 know about an upcoming engineering exploration/overview workshop sponsored by our STEM partner, "Shades of Blue," and myriad local engineering-related organizations. It is open to 6th through 11th grade students, but space is limited to the first 125 registrants. Please see the  flier for more information, and  register for the workshop by May 26

SKATE CITY:

As the countdown to the end of the year is now in full swing, it's that time again for summer skating and the Skate City Summer Membership Card Program! With costs continuing to rise in all aspects of our daily lives, we want to be able to see the students and families within our communities be able to enjoy a fun, healthy, and safe activity to enjoy throughout the summer months at a discounted rate. With a $5 summer membership card, anybody can skate all summer long for just $1 admission, AND your school earns back $2 for each card sold!

Over 22,000 summer cards were sold just last year, and already seeing families ask about them again this year…

Attached is the PDF e-flyer for the summer membership cards.

Enjoy your summer!
