FIVE WEEKS TO GO!! Remember No School on Monday, April 21!
SHRED-A-Thon TOMORROW!! April 19, 2025 from 9:30-1:30
The Newton Shred-A-Thon is Saturday, April 19th, 2025 at the Newton Middle School Primary Parking Lot. 9:30am until 1:30pm. Arapahoe CU is covering all expenses for this event. However, we will also be taking donations. Cash and check donations will go directly to Newton Middle School to help out their programs. Donate online through the button shown below. Note that ALL donations go to Newton Middle School. Arapahoe CU is just the intermediary.
What we are doing: This is a free community shred and electronic recycling event with shredding, small electronics recycling, and a food truck! We are asking for any support you can give towards Newton Middle School student programs. Arapahoe CU will be providing free, on-site shredding and electronic recycling.
Arapahoe Credit Union would rather spend our marketing dollars providing a service and raising money for students than simply advertising. Whatever you want to send to Newton Middle School is great and feel free to still rid yourself of old documents at no cost. Click here for more information

8th Grade Band Festival
Last Friday, the 8th grade band attended a judged music festival put on by the CHSAA organization. Based on scores from 3 music judges they received an “Excellent” rating on their overall performance, were the highest scoring middle school ensemble at the festival, and out-scored several high school ensembles as well. A huge congratulations to the 8th grade band on their success, hard work, and getting recognized for outstanding musicianship. Additionally, a huge shout out to Mrs. Bransgrove!! You make beautiful music happen!! We are so proud of you Knights!
A message from PTO
It's the final stretch for Street Smarts of Southglenn! Save and submit all of your receipts through the end of April for all shopping and dining done at Southglenn. We are so close to finishing in the top 3 - which means ending the school year in the money and that money helps supplement our fundraising for next year! If you want to drop your receipts in the PTO box at the Newton Middle School office, we'll submit them for you!
Thanks for your support!

Picking your child up early… What to do???
Just a friendly reminder that if you are going to pick your child up during the school day, PLEASE CALL AHEAD. If you have an appt at 3pm, call long before then. It can take upwards of 15 minutes to get your child to the office if you just show up without alerting us ahead of time.
Some options:
Call the attendance line
Put it in the parent portal in the morning
Call the main office line
Remember that you being in a rush does not mean we will be able to find them any faster.
