Good Evening Parents/Guardians and Students:
6th Grade Students: We will NOT have students meet during the KT/Homeroom block online next week.
Picture Retakes:
Picture retake day is November 9th. Any student who did not have their picture taken in September will need to have a picture taken. If you are interested in retakes you need to bring your complete first packet to turn in and then you will be able to have a retake.
NJHS is sponsoring a school-wide Coats for Colorado drive through November 19th. Please donate your gently used winter coats to help keep our community warm this winter. Please bring donations to Ms. Omdahl's room 1526. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
King Soopers:
In only a few clicks, you can link your King Soopers/Kroger brands rewards number to Newton Middle school and we can earn passive income every time you buy groceries. This adds up. Some LPS schools earn thousands each year from this program and don’t forget to ask your neighbors and grandparents…anyone in the country who shops at a Kroger brand grocery store, to link up with Newton. See the attached instructions for a list of Kroger brands and quick steps to link your account.
Selecting your AmazonSmile charity on a mobile device
Open the Amazon Shopping app on your mobile device
Click the three horizontal lines (aka the “hamburger”) in the bottom right corner
Select AmazonSmile. If it doesn’t already show Littleton Public Schools PTO – Newton Middle School, click Change Charity. From there you can search for Newton and select it.
Sixth and Seventh grade students: If you are Open Enrolled from out of district, your parents need to complete an “Intent to Renew” form for next year. These are due by November 15th.
Eighth Grade Information:
Littleton High School Showcase is November 11th at 6:30 pm
Chromebooks:
Students need to take good care of their chrome books, we are not getting parts in a timely manner and some chrome books might need to be used if they are missing a key but the key still works.
Right now, we do not have any new chrome books coming, that means the one they have now will need to last them all school year. We do not have spares and won't be getting any.
2021 Newton PTO Holiday Cheer Campaign
Help the Newton PTO spread holiday cheer and show our appreciation to the Newton Staff this December.
The Holiday Cheer Campaign enables you to bring holiday cheer directly to the Newton Staff in three different ways.
# 1 Holiday Cheer Drive We are accepting monetary donations. Any amount is appreciated. Our goal is to provide each individual staff with a gift card which will enable them to purchase something personal. Donations are due by December 13th.
Clink on the link here to donate or go to https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=XTPZQECV9EHWU
#2 Holiday Cards Looking for a way for your student to show off their holiday cheer? Encourage your students to get creative and make Holiday Cards for their teachers. The more creative the better! They can drop off the cards at school. There will be large, wrapped gift boxes in the main lobby and by the athletic entrance where students can drop off their cards. Make sure they address the cards to the correct staff member.
#3 Send an E-Card Electronic holiday cards are a great way to show your gratitude during the holidays to the Newton staff. We have included a staff email list here. Below are some resources for free e-cards, however this list is non-exhaustive.
https://www.punchbowl.com/ (free - can upgrade for charges)
https://www.kisseo.com/ (free)
https://www.openme.com/ecards (free)
https://www.ojolie.com/cards/category/free_ecards (limited free selection)
https://www.123greetings.com/ (free but has a lot of ads along with the card)
For questions, please reach out to the PTO Staff Appreciation Representatives:

and

Thanks and have a great weekend.
James O’Tremba
