Newton Shred-a-thon/Electronic Recycling Event this weekend! 

This Saturday, 4/23/22, from 9:30 am-1:30 pm, is our annual shred-a-thon/electronic recycling event that is sponsored by Arapahoe Credit Union. You can do some Spring cleaning AND support our middle school! Shredding and small electronic recycling is free, and there is a small cost for recycling larger items. We will be collecting donations for Newton on the day of the event. For all details, go to arapahoecu.org/shred. Please come join us! We will have parent and student volunteers, as well as employees from Arapahoe Credit Union, running the event.

Newton’s Staff Appreciation Week May 2 - 6th 

Newton’s PTO is excited to show our appreciation to our wonderful staff by providing them with a special treat each day of the week during staff appreciation week. We need your help in showering the staff with yummy food.  On Friday, May 6th the PTO will host a day of snacks. We will be collecting small, individually wrapped snacks so each staff member can fill up on candy bars, granola bars, bags of chips, nuts, seltzer drinks, candies, etc. We are looking for the Newton community to donate a dozen individually wrapped snack items to help Newton staff finish out a great year. Here is what’s planned by the PTO for the whole week:  

• Monday May 2nd staff will receive a car wash gift card  

• Tuesday, May 3rd staff will be treated to lunch by the BURGER BUS  

• Wednesday, May 4th staff will be treated with coffee during PLCs. 

• Thursday, May 5th staff will be treated with a catered breakfast  

• Friday, May 6th staff will be treated by a SNACK ATTACK to keep them energized.
