Newton Spelling Bee:

"The bee is after school on Jan. 17, 4:15 PM- approximately 6 PM. Kids who "qualified" with a score of 16 or more out of 25 difficult words were invited to participate. Additionally, ALL ARE WELCOME. If your child wishes to compete in the bee, please email their Language Arts teacher, and we'll get them included. This is a great opportunity for students to shine, learn, grow, and step into a new challenge, so we want EVERYONE to have the chance to participate."

Newton Knight Out:

We are having a Restaurant Knight Out at (Newton parent-owned, Dale Knipp) Papa Murphy's next week on Thursday, 12/7. The event will take place between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. Please refer to the attached flyer for additional information.

Holiday Cheer Campaign:

Newton PTO is seeking donations for our Staff Holiday Cheer event December 15th. Each year we give EVERY Newton staff member (teachers, office, cafeteria, facilities, custodial, para professionals, and admins) a holiday gift from the school community. This year we are hoping to include $25 Amazon gift cards to the PTO gift bags so that staff can buy something of their choice.

Go directly to our Newton PTO Amazon Gift Registry. Thank you for your generous support of Newton Middle School! Please see the attached flyer for additional information.

Parking Lot across from Newton at Strawberry Hill Office Park:

Newton parents are using the office park parking lot as a holding area in the afternoons while waiting for their kids get out of school and using their dumpsters to throw out trash. Please refrain from using this parking lot for student drop off/pick up. This is private property and we do not have permission to use this lot. Thanks for your cooperation.

Have a great weekend.
