October 25th, 2024

Another wonderful week at Newton!  Just looking at the forecast for next week… If it’s raining we will be inside for recess, but if it's not, we will be going outside for at least five minutes of recess.  ALL students need to dress for the weather as we need to send the kids out for at least five minutes between lunches to prep for the next lunch. Wearing short sleeves and shorts when it's 39 degrees out… they will still go outside, so dress accordingly.

The Halloween Festival:

Student Council has all of the Halloween tickets that your student purchased this week at lunch. On Halloween at the end of period 7, teachers will hand out tickets to students who pre-purchased at lunches. Students will then take their ticket to show their study hall teachers and they will be dismissed to the festival at 3pm. Students who did not pre-purchase can join in the fun at 3:30pm when school ends. The Festival ends at 4:30pm so please talk with your student about either riding the late bus home or a prompt pick up at 4:30pm in the parking lot. Students CAN come to the festival and leave at dismissal if they have an after school prior commitment.

Thank you for supporting our school spirit!

High School Visits for current 8th Graders:

Arapahoe High School Info:

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! Arapahoe High School continues to be a leading school in the south Denver Metro area focused on our  excellence, tradition and innovation!  As your current 8th graders, the Class of 2029, start exploring their high school options we hope they will consider our storied institution to Become A Warrior!

AHS is excited to announce the dates for our popular Shadow Day program.  This is an incredible opportunity for current 8th grade students as Shadow Days provide a unique perspective for future warriors to experience the Arapahoe High School culture alongside current Warriors.   We continue to encourage parents/guardians to participate in the day with their children. While students are observing classes, parents will have the opportunity to ask questions of our principal, Mrs. Natalie Pramenko, and take a tour of our building.

Shadow days will take place on Nov 12, with options for either a morning or an afternoon session. The capacity for each session is 60 students. Students will only be able to bring a maximum of 1 parent to the shadow day. Feel free to sign up for your shadow days here!
