Dear Parents and Guardians

As the end of the year is quickly approaching I am attaching our most recent fast facts information sheet that has our upcoming events for the rest of the year. We will begin registration for next year’s 7^th and 8^th graders next week. Students will receive their registration cards on the 10^th and the 11^th in their social studies classes and will go into the computer lab on the 17^th and 18^th to input their requests. Mrs. Barrett and Ms. Burns have been making visits to our feeder elementary schools to present the registration process to them. Our incoming 6^th grade parent orientation will be held next week, April 10^th at 6:30 pm. This is for parents only; the students will be visiting Newton with their classmates in April and May. If you have any questions regarding any of the registration process please feel free to check our website or call our main office.

I will send invitations out for our 8^th grade Recognition Awards/Continuation Ceremony toward the end of April/Beginning of May. The 8^th grade ceremony will be held on May 22^nd at 1:00 pm in our gym.

If you are interested in volunteering at Newton we have several opportunities. We always need parents to serve on our PTO and Accountability Committee’s. We have specific positions to fill for the 2014-15 school year: Accountability President, PTO Vice President, Teacher Grant Review Committee Coordinator, Building Representative for the Littleton Stride and a person to coordinate and put together our building directory. If you are interested in any of these positions please let me know.
