Dear Parents/Guardians:

We will conduct parent conferences next week on the 15th and 16th of October from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Please check the front page of our website for more detailed information.

To date we have raised almost $13,000 for our annual Brighter Future Pledge Drive, our goal is $25,000. For more specific information on how to give to our PTO for the fund drive please see the Brighter Future Icon on the front of our website. Let's help PTO reach their goal! Thanks to everyone who has given to our Pledge Drive.

Come out and join us for the Littleton Stride on October 26th. The stride is an exceptional community event that focuses on bringing together the Littleton Public Schools and the local community to focus on health and wellness. The event is fun for all ages so bring the entire family out for a 10k/5k run/walk or kids fun run. Sign up at runthesride.com and enter Newton Middle School as your school.

Newton's Backpack Food Program for students is collecting food donations during parent conferences. Please place your donation in Backpack labeled boxes in the Library, Cafeteria or Gym during conferences. Items needed are: crackers, small peanut butter and jelly containers (no glass please), individual fruit cups, non-perishable snacks of any kind, small serving sizes work best. Thank you for your donations in advance.

It is again that time of the year for 8th Grade Yearbook Baby Ads-Don't be left out of this grand Newton Tradition. Express friendship, love or congratulations to the special student in your life with a personalized Baby Ad in the yearbook. Instructions are as follows:

I am also attaching a flyer from the school district regarding an upcoming Teens and Drugs workshop that will be held on October 21st.

We look forward to seeing you at conferences next week, have a great weekend.

Respectfully,
James O'Tremba
