Good Afternoon Parents/Guardians:
We are in the final countdown.....only ten days of school
remaining. Please remember to access the registration information on our
website for next fall. Our website contains information regarding fees,
schedule pick up, supplies, summer reading assignments and PTO fundraiser and
volunteer information. If you pay fees early you will avoid standing in lines
at schedule pick up in August!
Our lost and found items will be available in front of
the main office in the hallway until May 22nd. On the 22nd it will be bagged up
and given to Goodwill. We have hundreds of articles of clothing etc.
Attention gifted and talented students: Mrs. Lacy needs
all GT students to complete a survey. The survey is found on the Newton website
under the teacher pages tab and click on GT. The survey needs to be completed
by Monday morning. Please check with Mrs. Lacey if you have any questions. The
survey is brief and should only take a couple of minutes.
We distributed the MAP testing scores to our sixth and
seventh graders today, check with your students for their MAP scores. We will
distribute the eighth graders MAP scores during continuation rehearsal the last
week of school.
Run with the Knights dri fit t-shirts are for sale. The purchase
price is $10.00, students can pick up an order form from the main office, Mr.
Blake or Mrs. Ostoff.
I want to thank all of the families who attended our
sixth grade science expo last night. We had a huge turn out and appreciate all
of your support for the hard work our sixth graders put into their projects. It
was a wonderful evening.
The final installation of our seats in the mini theater
has been completed and looks great. Thank you to everyone for your
contributions to PTO in order to help us make this happen!
