Good Afternoon Parents/Guardians:

I am going to share some data with you in this e-mail. Please see the attached form regarding the growth awards that were given out to students yesterday during our recognition/awards ceremonies. We are very proud of our students, they did a great job this year and we are looking forward to another great year this fall.

It has been a terrific year in the Newton Greenhouse this year. With a collaborative effort between Newton gardening club, knight time gardening class, and NJHS, we were fortunate enough to plant over 200 plants in the Salvation Army community garden. All of the harvest goes directly to the Salvation Army pantry to supply fresh produce to the needy. We hope to harvest over 1 ton of produce for the pantry from the Newton greenhouse alone!

Great job to the Gardening Club....we appreciate all of the work put in this spring.

Congratulations to our eighth grade students on their continuation. Best of luck in high school, we look forward to the great things you will accomplish.

Newton will be closed this summer due to the summer bond work being done. Please refer to the front page of our website regarding summer hours, location etc.

Have a great summer.....thanks parents for a great school year.

Respectfully,
James O'Tremba
Principal, Newton Middle School
