Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians:

Congratulations to Maddie Farr. Maddie auditioned for and was selected to represent Newton at the 2016 Allstate CU Middle School Honor Band on the flute. Maddie will spend several days at the CU campus in Boulder practicing and playing in the All State Honor Band with other students from across the state!

We will conduct spring conferences next week. These conferences are pre-scheduled by teachers. If you have not been contacted for a scheduled conference and feel you need to meet with a teacher or group of teachers, please contact them to make an appointment for a conference.

We will be revising the manner in which we do conferences next year. We will develop a survey for parents to provide feedback to us in order for us to best meet the needs of parents for conferences. With parent access to our Infinite Campus portal we have experienced fewer parents at our fall arena conferences. Look for the survey sometime later this spring.

With all of our students being issued chrome-books this year we have obviously experienced some loss/damage. Overall our students have had the lowest damage/repair rate in the district. However, lately we have had some damaged chrome-books turned in that parents have attempted to repair themselves. Please refrain from attempting to repair the chrome-books at home. If your son or daughter damages the chrome-book please have them turn it into us in order for us to have our technology coach or the district technology department take care of the repairs. This will prevent even further damage being done to the device.
