Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians:
PTO Fundraiser Information:
Thank you to the 100 households so far who’ve made donations to the Newton Discovery Fund Drive. We are hoping for 100% participation by Oct. 31st. EVERY dollar counts to reach PTO’s $25,000 goal to support new AV equipment in the gym and programs like Reading Counts and funds for teacher grants, all to further enrich learning at Newton. Please donate today on-line or by check in the School Office and plan on joining Newton Community Night at Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, SouthGlenn, October 4 from 5-9 p.m.
Bus Safety Information:
Students need to have a note to ride the bus home with a friend. The note should include the parent granting permission for the student to ride the bus home and be brought to the office to be signed. The note will then be given back to the student who can use it as a ticket to get on the bus.
The bus will give you a one minute warning by starting its engine. You need to get on the bus when you hear it start up. When the doors close, you may not run after the bus.
Students in cars should be dropped off in the west parking lot in the mornings. The west lot is the safest lot for morning drop off. If you have to go to the east lot, please make sure that your student is in the cross-walk before you let them out of the car. Bus drivers are worried that they will hit open car doors or students who are not crossing in the crosswalk.
Code Cart Volunteer Information:
We are in need of parent volunteers to assist with our CODE Cart rewards during our lunches. Please access the link below or copy and paste it to your browser to sign up and help distribute CODE rewards during specified lunches!
Have a safe weekend and enjoy our beautiful Colorado weekend weather!
