Good afternoon parents and guardians:

I have a very important piece of information for you. Our building leadership team has made a decision regarding our fall parent/teacher conferences. In the past we have done arena conferences for two evenings in October. The first evening is highly attended and the second evening is not.

We have decided to try a new format with input/feedback that we received from parents last year. We will conduct an evening of conferences on September 21st from 3:30 to 6:30 pm. These conferences will be scheduled only by our teachers or administrative staff.

In October we will conduct one evening of arena conferences held on October, 19th from 3:30 to 7:30 pm. On October 20th we will again hold scheduled conferences during the day.

I have a brief announcement from our PTO regarding our annual fund drive: Please stay tuned for the initial results which will be reported in next week’s Weekly Update. Thanks to everyone who has supported Newton  and our PTO this fall.
