April 21st, 2017

Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians:

All seventh and eighth grade field trip permission forms are due by Tuesday, the 25th at 3:00 pm! We need these returned even if your student isn’t attending the field trip!

There is no school on Monday the 24th.

Save the date!

The final Newton Community KNight for this school year will be on Tuesday, May 2 at Chick-fil-A SouthGlenn from 5pm-7pm.  It's the evening before the LPS late start so enjoy a break from making dinner and support Newton!  Chick-fil-A is being very generous and will be donating to Newton 10% of ALL SALES that evening from dine-in, drive-thru or take-out.  Please spread the word and see you there!

The Newton/Arapahoe Credit Union annual Shred a thon is next Saturday April 29th from 9:30-2pm in the Newton Middle School North West Parking Lot.

Feel free to bring any documents for ON-SITE destruction (watch it happen!). Bring old bank statements, check registers, receipts and anything else with personal information on it. Additionally, feel free to bring your small electronics and we will get those recycled as well! (Unfortunately, we are no longer able to accept ANY box/ tube/rear projection screens. We also are unable to offer electronic data destruction.)
Colorado Vault and Safe Deposit Box CO. and Arapahoe CU are covering all expenses for this event. However, they will be taking donations that will go directly to extra-curricular student activities at Newton Middle School.
Please consider volunteering or asking your children to volunteer at this event.

The Newton Book Fair is just around the corner and runs from May 1-5!  We need lots of volunteer cashiers to make this a successful event!

Have a great weekend.
James O’Tremba

Principal, Newton Middle School
