Good Afternoon Parents/Guardians:

The Annual PTO Fund Drive

The PTO’s Annual Fund Drive continues through October 31st!!  Thanks to those who have donated.  To date, the PTO has collected $21,070.  This amounts to 70% of our total goal.  If you have not contributed yet, you can (1) click here to make a donation via Paypal today; or (2) bring your check or cash to the main office at Newton.  The suggested donation amount is $125 per student.  Detailed information about the Annual Fund Drive, including the Paypal link, is available on the Newton website under NMS PTO Fund Drive.  Thank you for supporting the Newton PTO!

The Newton PTO Backpack Program, which assists students through the provision of supplemental weekend food and supplemental weekday snacks at school, will begin again on Friday, September 29, 2017. Backpacks are available for pick up on Fridays right after school in front of the mini theater, no questions asked. Donations and volunteer help are always needed. Donations of nonperishable food items may be left on the donation cart in the front office at any time (please no glass containers). Please see the sign-up genius link below for requests and drop-off locations of perishable food. Anyone interested in volunteering may do so by following the sign-up genius link below.  If you have comments or questions, please contact Erin Miller at e2miller@hotmail.com. A more detailed list of donation requests will be included in the October PTO newsletter. Thank you for your support!

Please note the following messages from our LPS nutritional services department:

Free & Reduced Meal Applications must be completed every year. If your student qualified for free and reduced last year their status carries over for the first 30 days of this school year. If new applications have not been received within 30 days, student's meal status will change to paying on September 28th. You can apply online at http://littletonpublicschools.net/nutrition. If you have any questions please contact our office at 303-347-3360.

LPS Nutrition Services is hiring! Benefits start at 4 hours a day, work the same schedule as your students and invest back in your community. Join our team and make a difference in the lives of our students!

Have a great weekend.
