Good Evening Parents, Guardians and Students:
I hope all of our students are enjoying their spring break and are ready to return on Monday!
Please remember to exude patience with each other in our parking lots during drop off and pick up times. With us being back to 100% of our students this does mean more traffic in our lots before and after school. With our recent snow and the construction that is taking place we do have a limited amount of space for people to park etc.

CMAS INFORMATION:
I’ve had many questions from parents regarding CMAS testing for this year. We will conduct CMAS testing in one form or another. We are still waiting to hear from the state and the federal government exactly what the testing will look like. We have developed three different testing schedules for the current testing scenarios that we are aware of. Once we know for sure what will be expected of us for testing I will send out the testing schedule.
TOP’s students who are testing will need to report to Newton for their testing. We will have two separate rooms for TOP’s students to test in.
I am including the opt out link if you are interested in opting your student out of the CMAS testing this year. This is something that I support for families to consider this year. If you have specific questions regarding CMAS testing please let me know.
I hope you have a wonderful spring break.
James O’Tremba
Principal, Newton Middle School
