Good Evening Parents/Guardians and Students:

As we enter into our concert season I want to remind parents and students of the guidelines we have here at Newton for those events. All visitors and students are required to wear masks to after hours events. If students are attending an event that occurs directly after school such as basketball, wrestling etc they may attend the event on their own. If students want to attend anything that occurs in the evening such as the band, orchestra or choir concerts they need to attend with their parents. If students show up to these events without a parent they will not be allowed to attend the event and will be sent home.

Our concert schedule for next week is as follows:

December 6th:     Choir

December 8th:     Orchestra 

December 9th:     Band 

All concerts begin at 7:00 pm and will be held on our stage in the cafeteria.

Just a friendly reminder that IF you choose to get your student tested for COVID, we prefer the PCR test (not rapid or at home).  These are the most accurate methods of testing.  Also, we do ask that you keep your student out of school while waiting for test results.

Picture retake information:

Lifetouch will be doing retakes at their office in Westminster on December 4th from 10:00-2:00

If you are interested in doing this, please contact them at 303-565-5203. Newton will take yearbook photos for any students that did not get their picture taken.

Keep those photos coming! The next round of photos we’re looking for are photos of your child doing a SPORT OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL. You can share these great photos easily at www.hjeshare.com, school code: NMS2021. We cannot guarantee that your photo will be used, though all of them will be considered. Stay tuned for more photo requests this school year.

Also, we will accept 8th Grade Baby Ads until we run out of space, so please get your Ad in soon.  Parents can create their own ad online at www.yearbookordercenter.com. When you go to the website, use our School Order Number 7571 and click the button that says “Start Your Ad”. Follow the prompts to complete your ad.  8th Grade Baby Ads are due Friday December 10th OR until our pages are full.
