Good Evening Parents/Guardians and Students:

Newton Winter Spirit Days: December 13th to 17th, 2021

Monday: White out day….wear as much white as you can to celebrate our snow we’ll receive today!
Tuesday: Flannels, Wear your flannels to show your school spirit…NO PAJAMAS!
Wednesday: Holiday Headwear Day….wear your favorite holiday hat, scarf, headband, antlers or ears.
Thursday: Ugly Sweater…..Dress in your favorite Ugly Sweater.
Friday: Newton Spirit Day, wear your Newton Gear.

Concert Season Comes to an End

Thanks to Mrs. Bransgrove and Ms. Newman for absolutely spectacular choir, orchestra and band performances this week. The students performed magnificently and I appreciate all of the hard work and effort put in by our teachers, students and parent support.

I apologize for the lights in the parking lot being off….of course the week we have performances we have a short in the electrical wiring and the lights in the parking lot were not able to be on….hopefully this issue will be repaired soon!

The next round of photos we’re looking for are photos of your child doing a SPORT OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL. You can share these great photos easily at www.hjeshare.com, school code: NMS2021. We cannot guarantee that your photo will be used, though all of them will be considered. Stay tuned for more photo requests this school year.

Also, we will accept 8th Grade Baby Ads until we run out of space, so please get your Ad in soon. Parents can create their own ad online at www.yearbookordercenter.com. When you go to the website, use our School Order Number 7571 and click the button that says “Start Your Ad”. Follow the prompts to complete your ad. 8th Grade Baby Ads are due Friday December 10th OR until our pages are full.

Holiday Cheer Drive for NMS Staff

Next Monday, December 13th, is the LAST DAY to contribute to this year’s Holiday Cheer Drive for our staff. This allows you to contribute online to gift our teachers, and ALL the deserving staff at Newton.

Help the Newton PTO spread holiday cheer and show our appreciation to the Newton Staff this December.

Deadline for donations is Monday, December 13th!

# 1 Holiday Cheer Drive We are accepting monetary donations. Any amount is appreciated. Our goal is to provide each individual staff with a gift card which will enable them to purchase something personal. To ensure staff receive their gifts before holiday break, the deadline for donations is December 13th.

#2 Holiday Cards Looking for a way for your student to show off their holiday cheer? Encourage your students to get creative and make Holiday Cards for their teachers. The more creative the better! They can drop off the cards at school. There will be large, wrapped gift boxes in the main lobby and by the athletic entrance where students can drop off their cards. Make sure they address the cards to the correct staff member.
