Good Evening Parents, Guardians and Students:

CMAS TESTING INFORMATION:

We will begin our CMAS testing schedule on Monday. We are conducting one test per day over the next two weeks. I will provide the link to the schedule and the opt out form to this email. If you are choosing to opt your student out I need the opt out form returned to me as soon as possible. I need this before we begin testing on Monday morning. If you choose to opt out your student I am requesting that if it is at all possible to please keep your student home until after the testing schedule in the morning. We will resume regular classes, according to the testing schedule each day.

If your student is testing please help remind them to be well rested and prepared for the testing. I have asked our teachers to limit the amount of work and homework given during the testing period. Please remind your student to bring their Chromebook to school each day, fully charged and ready to go as we have a limited supply of chromebooks available to check out

If you have any questions regarding the testing please do not hesitate to contact me or Mrs. Huck as she is supervising the testing.

Yearbook Staff for 2022-23:

As 6th and 7th Grade students are registering for their classes for next school year, the yearbook advisers will be accepting applications to be a part of the 2022-23 Newton Yearbook staff.  Students choose the theme and design elements, take the photos, write the copy and create the layouts for the book that tells the story of the year at Newton. Yearbook is open to any student who will be a 7th or 8th grader next school year.  Yearbook takes place during Knight Time and is not a separate class but takes the place of a student's Study Halls, Homeroom and Knight Time Enrichments.  To access the application, click on the following link: https://forms.gle/dUBEGxdxxC2ZZS3z7 visit the 6th or 7th Grade Google Classrooms or contact Mr. Atherton or Mrs. Svigel.
