LAST CALL to ORDER a YEARBOOK:
If you would like to pre-order a yearbook for your student, the order must be placed by Monday, January 23rd. If you have not purchased a yearbook yet, your student received a flyer in their homeroom class this week. Flyers are also posted in the Grade Level Google Classrooms. Sometimes we have a few extras at the end of the year that can be purchased, but we never know until the shipment of yearbooks is sent to us. So it's better to pre-order to ensure your student gets one.

Newton PTO Meeting:
Welcome back and happy New Year! Please join us on Thursday, January 19th from 9:30-11:00a for our PTO Meeting either in-person or via Google Meet. For the agenda click here. If you haven't already requested the Google Meet link and would like it, please email Tiffany at newtonptopres@gmail.com.
Newton Parking Lot:
Our number one job is to keep our students safe and the intent of this is to ask for your support in creating the safest environment we can provide. Over the course of this past semester, we have seen a large drop-off in regards to safe-driving practices in our parking lot, mainly at the entry to Newton. The day before winter break, our worst fear happened and a student was hit by a car walking to her parents car and thankfully she is ok.
Our main concerns:
Speeding on Albion St. to make a yellow light in the morning to cut across Arapahoe Rd.
Regularly having parents running red lights to not have to wait 2 minutes for the light to change.
Parents texting and driving
Picking students up and dropping off ON Arapahoe Rd.
Turning into our lot, knowing our parking lot drop off is backed up, blocking west bound traffic both in the morning and afternoon, and blocking our active crosswalk
Driving straight across Albion from the "Right Hand Turn Only" lane.
We are pleading with you to be patient and prioritize our students' safety. It is imperative that we address this consistently for the sake of our students' safety.
Newton Knight Out:
We only have 2 Restaurant Knights left for the school year and we'd appreciate your support! Earnings from these restaurants go straight back to our school to support our students this academic year.
* Our next one is Tuesday, 1/24 at Mici Italian at Streets of Southglenn. 11 am - 9 pm. Must use code "SCHOOL" when placing order. Includes dine-in, take out, delivery and catering orders. (Orders from 3rd party delivery companies do not count toward fundraiser.)
* Bonus: you can also submit your receipt after this event to the Street Smarts at the Streets of Southglenn for more points for Newton!
Thanks and enjoy the three day weekend.
