Newton PTO Information:

The PTO would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new Middle School families this year as well as a warm welcome back to all of our returning families!

Our first meeting of the year is approaching Friday September 15th from 9am-10:30am at Newton Middle School.  If you would like to attend, please show up and let the front office know that you have arrived to attend the PTO meeting so that they can buzz you in!  If you are unable to attend in person, but would like to attend online, please contact newtonPTOpres@gmail.com and we can provide you with a link to the meeting!

The PTO exists to help build a sense of community at Newton by:

  • acting as a service group in support of Newton Middle School

  • representing parent interest by acting in an advisory capacity; neither seeking to direct or control the administration and policies of the school

  • informing and involving parents, thus promoting a better understanding of the educational programs of Newton Middle School and Littleton Public Schools

  • promoting the welfare of the students in the home, school and greater community

  • working to build a cooperative relationship among parents/guardians, teachers and students

In order to achieve our mission, we need the support of both parents and teachers within the community.  Please consider supporting us by:

  • Joining the PTO on a committee or as a member at large

  • financially supporting the PTO via fundraising efforts - updating your King Soopers Donation to Newton Middle School (see attached flyer), submitting your receipts from the Streets of Southglenn (see attached flyer), Donating to the Annual Fund Drive through infinite campus, taking part in our Restaurant Knights, or donating to our annual Shred-a-thon sponsored by Arapahoe Community Credit Union in the spring

  • Communicating your ideas and volunteering to support your kids whenever possible

Last year, the PTO was able to provide the funds to help pay for half of the full time employee requirements for a school psychologist as well as providing teacher appreciation events, and teacher supply reimbursements throughout the year.  With your help, we can provide even more support to your child's school in order to make it the best possible place to learn and grow!

If you have any questions or ideas, please feel free to reach out to newtonPTOpres@gmail.com.
