Good Evening Parents, Guardians and Students:

Colorado Association of Middle Level Education (CAMLE)

I received the following email  from CAMLE this week: Another recognition for our staff, students and community…..CONGRATULATIONS!

Dear Principal O’Tremba:

We are writing to you as the principal of Newton Middle School to acknowledge and recognize your staff, your students and your community for developing a dynamic environment where students thrive!

This year our CAMLE Board is reaching out to our educator network, reviewing statewide assessment data and uncovering the stories of excellence in the middle grades across our great state of Colorado.

In doing so, we have learned about the successes of your school. Your achievement on the 2023 School Performance Framework score ranks in the Top 25 of middle-grades schools in Colorado. Well done! It is evident to us that your school recognizes the importance of academic excellence: meeting the needs of all students, ensuring every child has access to a high-quality education and growing young adolescents in the best possible ways.  We would like to thank you for your efforts!

The PTO ANNUAL FUND supports our Newton teachers and school by contributing to the PTO Annual FundDrive. Donations this year will help support replacing the computers in the computer lab!

From your phone, just go into your Infinite Campus app (where you check your student's grades) click on the three bars in the left corner > Fees > Optional Payments > Add to cart. It defaults to $150, but you can change it on the payment page. Just click the amount box next to the red x and type in whatever amount you decide. Then Submit Payment and you're done. It's that easy! EVERY GIFT COUNTS!  Check the Newton website for monthly updates on reaching our goal. Thank you!

For additional information and how you can contribute please check out this link (https://littletonpublicschools.net/schools/newton-middle-school/pto-annual-fund-drive).

Our next Restaurant Knight Out is at Mici's on Tuesday, October 24th. We earned $202.81 from dining at Parry's Pizza in August. Thanks to everyone who came out and participated!
