Who’s ready for a little bit of a break!!!!

Lost and Found is clearing out on Wednesday!!

As I gave a heads up last week, we will empty our Lost and Found quarterly, so Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, please encourage your kids to look for their favorite clothes, water bottles, and lunch boxes to bring back home! Deadline is Oct 16!

Please pay your fees

Just a reminder that when you sign up for Sports, Clubs, etc… you are administered a fee.  We need to be able to collect those fees to pay our coaches, referees, sponsors, etc… please take a moment to look on the parent portal and see what fees are sitting there unpaid.  We appreciate it!

6th Graders, new electives start on Monday!!

In the Parent Portal or Infinite Campus, 6th grade students can see what their new electives will be for 2nd quarter.  Students in Band and Orchestra will also have ONE new elective.  Please help your child know where they need to go by prepping them this weekend for the changes in their electives.

Also 6th graders, first quarter grades are posting by 10am Monday!

6th Grade Elective Grades will be posted in Infinite Campus by 10am on Monday Oct 14.  Please take a look when you get a moment.  They will receive an Academic Content grade, as well as a Work Habits grade.

Parent Teacher Conferences

For many years, we have had a unique style of Parent Teacher Conferences. It looks dramatically different than what most parents have been used to in elementary school.  We invite students and parents in that we feel are imperative to have in with our staff for small group conferences in September and October, to prioritize students that our staff feel they need to bring in. On the one hand, be glad if we have not reached out, as we feel your student is doing well!  On the other hand, we understand that you may have some questions for teachers and we encourage you to reach out to a teacher if you have any questions or concerns for your child’s teachers regarding your student’s progress this first 9 weeks.

We do have an alternative plan for the Spring to create more access for parents to conference with teachers and we will share that plan in early February.  We appreciate your patience as this is likely a large change for many of you and we will definitely create a path for access to chat with your child’s teachers in the spring.

Checking Students Out Early:

If you are going to pick your student up early we respectfully ask that you inform the office ahead of time and do not arrive unannounced.  If you arrive unannounced there may be a significant delay in locating your student if they are in a class such as PE or Knight Time/Reading Block, or their class is in the library, or another space in the building, when it may be difficult to reach the teacher.  Please understand that we have a large school and it can take time to get them to the office and we appreciate your patience.  We understand that calling ahead of time may be a change for you but, that is a practice that we would like to continue using.

An early release pass can be requested in the following ways:

Leave a message on the attendance line (303) 347-7905

Log into Infinite Campus, and request pick up.

In a last minute emergency, call the main school line (303) 347-7900.

Arapahoe High School Info:

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! Arapahoe High School continues to be a leading school in the south Denver Metro area focused on our  excellence, tradition and innovation!  As your current 8th graders, the Class of 2029, start exploring their high school options we hope they will consider our storied institution to Become A Warrior!

AHS is excited to announce the dates for our popular Shadow Day program.  This is an incredible opportunity for current 8th grade students as Shadow Days provide a unique perspective for future warriors to experience the Arapahoe High School culture alongside current Warriors.   We continue to encourage parents/guardians to participate in the day with their children. While students are observing classes, parents will have the opportunity to ask questions of our principal, Mrs. Natalie Pramenko, and take a tour of our building.

Shadow days will take place on Oct 24, and Nov 12, with options for either a morning or an afternoon session. The capacity for each session is 60 students. Students will only be able to bring a maximum of 1 parent to the shadow day. Feel free to sign up for your shadow days here!

Additionally, our Freshman Showcase will be on October 30th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
