Dear Parents/Guardians:

Our backpack program that helps students with food items over the weekend has the following needs

We have an immediate need for EASY TO CARRY items and no glass containers;

·        Canned vegetables like green beans and corn

·        Nonperishable Fruits like cups of mixed fruit, peaches, mandarin oranges etc.

·        Peanut butter and jelly

·        Canned or plastic containers of pasta sauces

Students or parents can drop off donations in the box labeled Backpack Program at the front office.

We have had a tremendous amount of morning tardies to school this year. I need you to be aware of the following tardy policy. We will be enforcing this as students are beginning to get up to five tardies for the school year.

Tardy# 1- #5 Documented and warning.

Tardy #5- Letter Home

Tardy #6- Lunch Detention

Tardy #7-Lunch Detention

Tardy #8-Lunch Detention

Tardy #9- Lunch Detention

Tardy #10- Letter and Phone Call Home and one hour after school detention

Tardy #11- One hour after school detention

Tardy #12- One hour after school detention

Tardy #13- One hour after school detention

Tardy #14- ½ day of In School Suspension

Tardy #15- ½ day of In School Suspension and School Attendance Review Board Inquiry

Tardy #16++- 1 Day of In-School Suspension

This includes excused and unexcused tardies. It is very difficult for teachers to begin their class and have students continually tardy and have to begin over to catch students up. Please ensure that students are here on time in the morning.

Another reminder that we will host parent/teacher conferences on the 16^th and 17^th of October. Please refer to our website for more specific information.
