Attached you will find a flyer from Mr. Finer. Mr. Finer and his classes have designed a decal with our new logo for purchase. These logos can be placed anywhere...car windows, glass windows, mirrors and I have approved them to be placed on the chrome books that students have been issued. For more information or to order please follow the instructions on the flyer.
We have three wonderful new mental health people this year; our mental health team is here to provide resources for you and your student. Their support includes academic and interpersonal student consultation, as well as referrals for mental health and community resources. Please contact any of our team if you would like their help or would like to learn more about what they have to offer. The mental health team will also have a link coming soon to our website.
Additionally, they want to ensure that parents have access and are able to speak with their students about Safe2Tell which allows parents and students to anonymously report any threatening behavior that endangers your student, their friends, your family or the community just by giving a phone call. The Safe2Tell phone number 877-542-7233 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The call is free. More information about the Safe2Tell program is available at http://safe2tell.org/. As always, please call 911 in an emergency situation.

Over the summer three students from Newton Middle School performed in the children's honor choir for the American Choral Directors Association state conference in July. Approximately 100 students from around the state worked for three days with clinician Dr. Tony Guzman to prepare a concert for the choral directors and their families. Congratulations to Chandler Hinkley, Leah Cackowski and Faith Angstrom.
