Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians:

Just 2 weeks to go for the Newton Discovery Fund Drive.  This is THE PRIMARY ANNUAL FUNDRAISER at Newton and needs your full support.  Thank you to the 135 households that have contributed to date.  Participation now stands at 22% - we know we can do better!  The suggested donation per child is $125, but whatever your donation, every dollar really does count.

The Homeroom Participation Contest is engaging the students to encourage all families to donate, particularly as they are now fired up to win the Ice Cream Sundae Party prize!  Remember all donations made from July 1 - October 31 count .  Everyone knows the dire state of funding for public education in Colorado so your donation is an important investment in our children and Newton.  Teacher mini-grants begin shortly - our teachers are invited to request funding from Newton’s PTO for projects that enhance classroom instruction (books, equipment, supplies, special programs, guest speakers and more).  We need to meet or exceed our $25,000 goal to be able to help fund these mini-grants that directly benefit all Newton students every day.  Please donate on-line through the NMS Discovery Fund Drive link on Newton's website or by cash/check (payable to Newton PTO) in the School Office - why not stop by with your check during Conferences next Wednesday, 10/19?  Remember: Feel great - donate!    

Great news from Bad Daddy’s that all the families who joined in the Newton Community KNight raised $750 for the Fund Drive - community building and fundraising - a win-win for us all!
